Extra renta was launched by Sazka in 2021. The aim of this game is to guess 7 numbers out of 33. If all 7 of your numbers match the drawn numbers, you win a 20-year annuity. You’ll receive €400 or €800 monthly in your account. The amount of the annuity depends on your stake. The prize can also be collected as a lump sum.
The betting slip itself contains 4 columns. One column costs €1 or €2. If you choose the higher amount per column, it means you’re playing for double the prize. The draw takes place twice a week – on Monday and Thursday evenings. You can place your bet no later than 8 PM on the day of the draw.

How to play Extra renta?
If you want to try your luck and win a 20-year annuity, you have two options. The most convenient and fastest way is to bet on Extra renta online through the mobile app. To use this option, you must be registered with Sazka. If you prefer filling out a paper betting slip, you’ll need to visit a Sazka sales outlet. You can place your bet at petrol stations, post offices, or selected stores.
The aim of this game is to guess 7 numbers out of 33. Each betting slip contains four columns. You must check 7 numbers in each column. These can be your lucky numbers, or you can let the system generate them. Numbers are marked with an X. One column costs €1, so a full ticket will cost €4. If you want to play for a double annuity, i.e. €800 monthly for 20 years, you must place one column with a €2 stake. The full ticket will then cost €8. It’s also important to select the draw day. Draws take place every Monday and Thursday. You can choose one or both days. Just as important is the number of draws. You can prepay your ticket for up to 8 draws in advance.

To play Extra renta, you must have a purchased ticket (either at a Sazka terminal or online), and you must be of legal age. On the betting slip, you need to mark your selected numbers. You choose a total of 7 numbers out of 33. Numbers are marked with an X. If you don’t have your own numbers, you can choose a random pick, where the terminal will assign the numbers for you. Don’t forget to also check which draw day you are interested in (draws take place every Monday and Thursday). You can also place your Extra renta bet online. However, you’ll need a registered account with Sazka. But the registration process is quick and easy, saving you the time of going to a Sazka terminal.
Want to know if you’ve won? You can find the winning numbers on the Sazka website, on their YouTube channel, where you can watch the draw recording, or on the ČT1 TV channel. Winning numbers are also available via teletext.
If you’ve won and placed your bet at a terminal, you will need to present a valid ticket in order to claim your prize. If you placed your bet online, the money will be credited to your player account.
Extra renta winnings
The more numbers you match, the higher your chance of winning. Your prize can fall into one of five winning tiers. If you match 3 out of 7 numbers, you win a fifth-tier prize, which is €1 or €2, depending on your stake. A fourth-tier prize is awarded for guessing four numbers correctly, and the prize is €4 or €8. If you match 5 out of 7 numbers, you win a third-tier prize of €40 or €80. The second-tier prize is more attractive — if you correctly guess 6 numbers, you win €1,000 for the basic stake or €2,000 for the higher stake.
Finally, we arrive at the first-tier prize — the annuity that everyone dreams of winning. To win the annuity — the main prize — you must match 7 out of 7 numbers. The annuity is €4,000 monthly for 20 years (total €960,000) or €8,000 monthly for 20 years (total €1,920,000). The amount depends on your stake. You can receive the prize as a 20-year annuity or choose a lump sum payout. The probability of hitting the main prize in Extra renta is 1:4,272,048.

History of Extra renta winnings
The first win in the Extra renta lottery occurred on March 8, 2021. The lucky winner from the South Moravian Region received a dream annuity. Luck came from the first column with the numbers 12, 13, 17, 21, 23, 25, and 28. The player chose a random pick filled in by the terminal. For €4, they won an annuity of €4,000 per month for 20 years. The year 2021 brought luck to another player as well, who won on September 20, 2021, with an annuity of the same amount as the winner from the South Moravian Region.
In 2022, three players got lucky. The €4,000 monthly Extra renta prize was won on March 7, September 19, and December 5, 2022. In 2023, no one has won the Extra renta yet. So why not try your luck? Maybe the next winner will be you.

How and when can you claim your prize?
If you’ve won an amount of up to €40, you can collect it at any Sazka sales outlet. If your prize exceeds €40 but is no more than €4,000, you must arrange in advance with the outlet staff so they can prepare the appropriate amount of cash. Amounts of up to €10,000 may be paid out at selected Sazka locations equipped to handle higher payouts.

Lottery tax
Winnings from lotteries are subject to tax like other income. As of January 1, 2024, the exemption limit for income from gambling has been reduced from the original €50 to €2,000. From now on, all winnings that exceed this threshold will be reduced by a 15% withholding tax. However, players have no obligation to pay or report this income themselves, as the lottery company will deduct the tax directly and pay it on their behalf.
Individual winnings are not added up within a single tax period, which means each winning is taxed separately. So if, during one tax period, you win successively €1610, CZK €1210, and €1610 (totaling €4010), the winnings will not be taxed, because each of them fits within the €2010 ceiling.
