Sportka by Sazka is among the most popular lottery games. It is appealing to players not only for its low betting price but mainly for the valuable prizes it offers to lucky winners. On a ticket with 10 columns, up to 10 bets can be placed, and the ticket can be pre-subscribed for multiple draws. You just need to correctly guess 6 numbers from 1 to 49. The jackpot exceeds €400,000, and the Superjackpot surpasses €4,000,000. Even players who manage to guess only three numbers out of six win the lowest prize.

In this lottery, players guess 6 numbers from 1 to 49 in one column. However, they can fill up to 10 columns on one ticket. Draws take place 3 times a week, every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 7:00 PM (occasionally on other days). Additionally, a closed ticket can be pre-subscribed up to two weeks in advance. Besides the Jackpot and the hundred-million Superjackpot, Sportka offers 5 other prize tiers based on the number of guessed numbers. Players win the lowest prize even for half the correctly guessed numbers. The final prize amount changes in each draw according to the bet amount and the number of winners.

Choosing Sportka numbers
First, players select 6 random numbers between 1 – 49 to fill the play column. On one ticket, they can bet on up to 10 columns and fill them with different numerical combinations. If players do not want to bother with their selection or do not have their lucky numbers, they can use the Random Tip by checking the appropriate box, and the computer will choose the numbers for them.
System bet
This feature allows players to bet on all numerical combinations created from selected numbers. In this case, players select 7 – 15 numbers, from which the system automatically generates all possible six-number combinations. This increases the chance of winning, but also the price of the closed bet, which is twenty times the number of combinations and ranges from €5 – €4,000 for one bet (without subscription).

Bet on Šance
For an additional 20 Kč, players can bet on the supplementary game Šance, where they do not select any numbers. When betting online, the numbers are randomly chosen by the computer, and if players do not like them, they can let the system generate new ones until they are satisfied with the final selection. On the website and in the mobile app, the „Yes, I want to bet on Šance“ box is pre-checked. To exclude this option and skip the supplementary game, simply uncheck the box and leave it blank.
When playing at branches, all paper bets are marked with a pre-printed six-digit number, which cannot be changed. If players are not interested in this game, they must check the box „NO“ for Šance; otherwise, the ticket is automatically included in the game (the box must remain blank). In both cases, the last number of the six-digit number serves as the Additional Number, which increases the potential prize.
How to play for the Superjackpot
To compete for the highest prize exceeding €4,000,000, players must fill in the entire ticket. This means they must bet on all 10 columns at once and participate in the Šance supplementary game. A player can achieve the Superjackpot by correctly guessing all 6 numbers in one column and the additional drawn number matches the last digit of their six-digit number.
Choosing draws and subscription
Once players have their ticket filled with selected numbers, they choose the draw they want to participate in. Without a subscription, the betting ticket is valid for only one draw. However, it can be subscribed differently using two columns. If players check only the box indicating the number, their ticket is valid for the specified number of consecutive draws (up to 6). If they also add the draw day, the ticket is valid for the specified number of draws on that day (e.g., for 2 Wednesdays).
Ticket price
The cost of a filled ticket depends on the number of filled columns or the number of bet combinations in a System bet, but also on participation in the Šance game and the number of prepaid rounds. However, the basic price for one column and one draw is firmly set at 20 Kč (+ 20 Kč for the Šance game). To make the betting ticket valid, players must properly submit and pay it online or at a Sazka branch terminal.

Players can enjoy this lottery both online on the website or in the Sazka mobile app, as well as at branches and sales points with a Sazka terminal. In both cases, the process of placing a bet is very similar (the process slightly differs only when entering the supplementary game Šance, but the principle remains the same). For online play, players must be registered and logged into their account with Sazka. At the branch, it is possible to play without registration. However, for registered members of the Sazka Club, betting is much easier, and they also have access to a number of bonuses and other benefits.
Lottery tax
Lottery winnings are taxed as other income. Since January 1, 2024, the limit for tax exemption of gambling winnings has been reduced from the original million to €2,000. From now on, all winnings exceeding this limit will be reduced by a 15% withholding tax. However, players have no obligation to pay or report these incomes, as the lottery company will deduct the tax directly from the winnings and pay it on their behalf.
Individual winnings within one tax period are not added up, which means that each win is taxed separately, so if you win €1,600, €1,200, and €1,600 successively in one tax period (totaling €4,400), the winnings will not be taxed because each fits within the €2,000 limit.
