There is hardly anyone who has never heard of Sportka. And no wonder. In this lottery, Sazka offers its players truly tempting prizes.
This popular number lottery has gained the favor of many players for its low price and high winnings, which can range from tens to hundreds of millions of CZK. All you have to do is guess 6 numbers from 1 to 49. Even with fewer correctly guessed numbers, players can win in one of six prize tiers. There is also an additional game, which can nicely increase their reward.
First, players choose 6 numbers from 1 to 49 in one column (they have up to 10 columns available). Then they choose whether they want to participate in the additional Chance game, which increases the price of the ticket by 20 CZK. However, they do not choose any more numbers in it; an automatic six-digit code is generated for them during online betting (it can be regenerated repeatedly). If they bet at a Sazka sales point, then a set of six pre-printed numbers on the ticket is included in the game.
In the next step, they choose which draw they want to participate in with the ticket and, if interested, extend its validity using a subscription (without it, the closed ticket is valid only for one selected round). The draws take place every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday evening, and a recording of the draw is available for viewing on the Sazka website. In addition to the jackpot, Sportka also offers a Superjackpot. However, you can only play for it with a bet on all 10 columns and participation in the additional Chance game.

In this lottery, Sazka promises its players 6 prize tiers, with rewards increasing with the number of guessed numbers. To achieve the lowest prize, at least three of the bet numbers must match the drawn numbers. The jackpot, worth several million CZK, is then awarded to those who guess all 6 numbers correctly, and the Superjackpot, usually worth more than one hundred million CZK, is awarded to players when 6 numbers are guessed and the last number from the additional Chance game matches the last drawn one. Specific winnings, however, change in each draw based on the amount bet and the number of winners.

In this case, players’ winnings depend on the number of numbers that match the drawn ones. However, the numbers are not chosen by themselves but are automatically generated by the computer or pre-printed on the paper ticket. The numbers are always counted from the end to determine the prize (for the 2nd prize tier, the last 5 numbers must match the drawn ones, for the 3rd tier, only the last four, etc.).

Although Sazka does not publish the group of most frequently and least drawn numbers, you can find the complete history on their website, so players can create their own statistics. In addition, they publish which are the lucky numbers in the first and second draw, and which rarely appear. In the first draw, number 47 is most often drawn, and 45 is the least. In the second draw, number 40 appears the most and number 43 the least. If players want to increase their chances of success, it pays to create a suitable strategy from the statistics.
Their odds of winning, unfortunately, decrease with the number of guessed numbers. Thus, the more numbers they have to guess, the lower their chances, as confirmed by the table below. In the Superjackpot game, there are 69,919,080 combinations that can be created from a set of six numbers ranging from 1 – 49 and one additional number. However, they can bet a system bet, which covers all possible combinations from the selected numbers, and split the cost among more players.

The method of picking up the winnings depends on the method of betting. If players bet online, they can pick up their winnings from their player account at any branch in cash up to a limit of €200 per 24 hours. Cashless transfers between the player account and the regular bank account are not limited in any way. However, if they play at a branch, they can use the services of Sazka branches and sales points only under certain conditions:
Since 2015, the most millions have been given to players betting online. 369 players have already shared €64,000,000. Among bettors playing at branches, there are the most lucky ones in the Central Bohemian Region, where €48,000,000 is shared among 229 players. Close behind is Prague with an amount of €44,000,000, and then the Moravian-Silesian Region with winners sharing €33,000,000.
However, the historically highest winnings in Sportka were paid out already in 2013, when a couple from Chrudim managed to win an incredible €16,000,000. The last Superjackpot fell on 1. 3. 2024, when the winner from Karlovy Vary managed to correctly guess all six numbers and one additional number, which brought him a win of €4,465,000. According to Sazka’s external communication manager, from the beginning of 2024 to March, they have already distributed €17,200,000 among bettors.
*Note: The prize information is current as of March 2024.
