Millions for just a few bucks? With the Šťastných 10 lottery, no problem
This lottery attracts mainly due to its simple rules and low initial stake. The minimum bet is just €0.50. However, players can increase it as they wish. The possible winnings are calculated by multiplying the initial stake by a winning multiplier, which depends on the number of chosen and correctly guessed numbers. The highest multiplier players can reach is 300,000 if they also play the Royal Game. The additional game Chance Million can increase the win by up to €40,000. Even with bad luck, players still have a chance to win at least the Extra prize if they bet on 6–10 numbers.
The company Sazka launched the Šťastných 10 lottery already in 1994. As it quickly gained popularity among players, further extensions were gradually added. In 2006, the base game was enriched with the so-called Royal Game. Due to great interest, midday draws were added to the evening ones in 2016. To this day, players can try their luck twice a day, seven days a week.

To enter the game, players must fill out an online ticket or a paper bet slip. They choose whether to bet on 1 to 10 numbers from 1 to 80. In each draw, 20 winning numbers are drawn. Based on how many numbers are chosen and guessed correctly, the winning multiplier is determined, which multiplies the player’s original bet. The maximum possible win multiplies the stake by 300,000. The minimum stake per draw is €0.50, the maximum is €4.
First, players choose how many numbers they want to bet on, from 1 to 10. Then they cross off the selected amount of numbers between 1 and 80 on the betting slip. If they don’t have lucky numbers, they can select just a few and let the computer generate the rest or go for a Random Pick. Next, they choose the stake amount between €0.50 and €4. They can also opt in to the additional Royal Game and Chance Million, which can boost winnings even further.
The first number drawn in each round is considered the Royal Number. If it matches any of the numbers on the player’s ticket, their win is automatically increased. The price for the Royal Game depends on the base stake. If the player bets €0.50 on Šťastných 10, the total cost of the ticket including the Royal Game is €1.
In this add-on game, players don’t select any numbers themselves. When playing online, they just check the box “Yes, I want to play Chance Million“, and the system will automatically generate a six-digit number. This can be changed before confirming the ticket by generating a new one. On a paper slip, the six digits are fixed. The price for this add-on game is fixed at €0.50.
This prize is awarded to players who bet on 6–10 numbers and none of their selected numbers are among the drawn winning numbers. The Extra prize numbers are the remaining 60 numbers in the pool. The potential win equals the original stake, so players can get at least a portion of their money back even in case of a loss.
When submitting a bet, players choose whether they want to participate in the midday or evening draw. After that, the ticket is invalid for further draws. However, they can use a subscription to extend the ticket’s validity for several days — up to a maximum of 48 consecutive draws.
There are a total of 2 draws every day. The midday draw starts precisely at 12:00 and the evening one at 20:00, and their recordings can be watched online. Those interested even have the opportunity to attend the draw live in the studio as audience members. The results are immediately published on the Sazka website after the draw ends. Players can also access them in the Sazka mobile app or at any retail location with a Sazka terminal.

Winnings from lotteries are subject to tax like other income. As of January 1, 2024, the exemption limit for income from gambling has been reduced from the original one million to €2,000. From now on, all winnings exceeding this threshold will be reduced by a 15% withholding tax. However, players are not required to pay or report these earnings, as the lottery company will deduct the tax and pay it on their behalf.
Individual winnings are not aggregated within one tax period, which means that each winning is taxed separately. So, if in one tax period you win €1,600, €1,200, and €1,600 (a total of €4,400) on three lottery tickets, the winnings will not be taxed because each of them falls under the €2,000 threshold.
Sazka offers a wide range of well-known lotteries that you can enter by purchasing a ticket at one of the Sazkabet branches or conveniently online via the website or mobile app.
One of the most popular lotteries in the Czech Republic is undoubtedly Sportka. Winnings here can reach hundreds of millions of crowns, and players regularly compete for special Sportka bonuses. Drawings take place twice a week, occasionally three times a week.
Another popular lottery on the Sazka website is Eurojackpot, which players can enter from multiple European countries. Winnings can reach over one billion crowns. Drawings take place twice a week.
Extra Renta drawings take place twice a week, and the main prize is a monthly annuity of €8,000 for 20 years. The second prize is a monthly annuity of €4,000 for 20 years.
