What is Paysafecard?
Paysafecard is one of many
payment methods you can use today. Essentially, it works like internet cash. At any of the many outlets selling paysafecard, you deposit money and in return receive a receipt with a unique 16-digit code, which has the same value as the cash you deposited. You can then use this code to make payments in the online world as if using cash. At the merchant’s site where you decide to make the payment, select Paysafecard as your payment method, then enter your 16-digit code, and that’s it. The main advantages of this method are
anonymity, security, speed, and that you do not need a bank account to make a payment. A disadvantage, similar to cash, is that if you lose the receipt with the code, you lose your money.
History of Paysafecard
Paysafecard was established in 2000 in Austria. Initially, it was a startup with the aim to create a simple and secure online payment method for those who do not want or cannot use credit cards. Later, Paysafecard became part of the Paysafe Group and has become one of the most popular payment methods for online purchases in Europe. Today, Paysafecard is used in more than 50 countries worldwide. To this day, Paysafecard remains one of the biggest startup companies in Austrian history.

How to deposit money on Paysafecard online?
To be able to recharge Paysafecard online, you will need a bank account. However, Paysafecard still maintains its security because you do not need to share your banking details with multiple merchants, only with the Paysafe company. So, what are the options for recharging Paysafecard online? The first option is to find an online store that sells Paysafecard (in the Czech Republic, for example, the web Herní-kupony.cz). Online stores offer vouchers valued at 100 CZK, 300 CZK, 1,000 CZK, and 2,000 CZK. The code will be sent to you immediately after the payment has been made. However, this option has the risk of fraud, so always check whether the website has an official partnership with Paysafecard. The second option is to use a myPaysafe account, through which you can deposit and withdraw money. You will learn more about myPaysafe later in the article.

Paysafecard and Fees
Users usually pay almost no fees, as Paysafe Group strives to make the service as affordable as possible for users. However, users do encounter some fees. One of these is the
disposal fee, which begins to be deducted if you do not use your Paysafecard for 2 months and amounts to €3.20 per month. After 12 months, the fee increases to €5.20 per month. Paysafecard is most commonly used for quick payments, which users usually make within a few days of purchase. Therefore, these fees are not a major complication, however, the fees at bookmakers are typically higher than for other transactions. Usually, the fees are 5%, but fees may vary on each website, so it is important to read the terms and conditions.

Review
We rate Paysafecard coupons very positively, mainly due to
security and speed. Another advantage, in our view, is that Paysafecard is not linked to any bank account. Another plus point is the existence of a wide network of partners where the coupons can be purchased. A possible limitation we see is in the
limited options for withdrawing money and in
low deposits. We find myPaysafe to be a more favorable option as it extends the benefits of Paysafecard with
higher payment limits, is
more organized and allows much easier
money retrieval, while still retaining the
security of Paysafecard, as you do not have to worry about your personal and banking details. We see the higher fees at bookmakers as a minor flaw of this payment method. For this reason, we recommend Paysafecard and myPaysafe, especially for those of you for whom security is a priority and are willing to pay extra for it.
