Let’s take a look at the most popular prepaid vouchers and their prices.
Paysafecard is a popular and secure payment method that allows for simple anonymous online payments. It is ideal for those who do not want to use a bank account or credit card for online purchases. This system operates on the principle of prepaid cards, which are available in various amounts. Thanks to its reliability, anonymity, and speed, with payments being nearly instantaneous, it has become a popular form of payment for online game players and bettors in online bookmakers. In this article, you will learn everything about Paysafecard prices, including where to buy these cards, what limits they have, what values are available, any fees, and much more.
Quickly, if you don’t know what Paysafecard is, you probably don’t belong to the gaming community, where it is likely one of the most popular payment methods. For simplicity, I would compare Paysafecard to internet cash. Because these two means are very similar in essence. You go to one of the sales points and purchase your Paysafecard, since you can also pay in cash, it is a great way to pay online for people who do not have their own bank account. After paying, you receive a receipt and on it will be your unique 16-digit code, which has the same value as the money you put in. From this moment, your money is represented by these 16 digits. On the internet, you then use the prepaid card by choosing Paysafecard as the payment method and entering your 16-digit code. Just like with cash, there is a downside with Paysafecard that if you lose this code, you simply lose your money.

Paysafecard can be purchased today both in an ever-growing network of brick-and-mortar stores and online on the websites of the Czech gaming coupon retailer, or by logging into the official Paysafecard website. In brick-and-mortar stores, you most often encounter Paysafecard vouchers in predetermined values of €8, €20, €48, and €100. If none of these values suit you, you have the option at sellers like sazka to top up these cards to any value between €8 and €100.
Paysafecard is exceptional in many respects, but from the customer’s perspective, the most interesting approach of Paysafecard to fees is. The company Paysafe tries to make the service as cheap as possible for the customer, achieving this by shifting most of the fees to the merchants who accept payments with Paysafecard. Although Paysafe strives to protect customers from paying fees for using their services, some fees are still present, but most customers are not affected by them. The first of these fees is the so-called disposal fee. If you do not use your voucher for more than seven months, Paysafe will start deducting this fee, that is €3 per month. In the case that you wait more than a year to use your voucher, the fee increases to €5 each month. The second fee, which might affect more users is the currency conversion fee. In a situation where you buy your voucher in Czech crowns and pay, for example, in American dollars, a conversion to the other currency occurs, according to the rates set by the company Paysafe. These rates often differ from the central rates listed by the Czech National Bank and are quite unfavorable for the user. Let’s give an example for this situation, using the conversion from crowns to dollars. The rate listed on the Paysafecard website is 23.6 crowns for 1 dollar, the CNB rate is 22.35 crowns for 1 dollar. The fee for this specific payment, where the two currencies are exchanged, would currently be 6.09% using Paysafecard. The amount of the fee and the exchange rates often change, and it is always possible to easily verify them on the official Paysafecard website, where an intuitive tool for quick verification of your voucher value in a foreign currency is available, and you also find out the current exchange fee. The last fee that you will encounter at Paysafecard is the so-called Refund fee. This is the fee that will be deducted if you wish to send money from your myPaysafe account back to your bank account. It is 150 CZK and if you use a voucher only for a one-time payment, you will not encounter this fee.
Even though Paysafecard has virtually no fees and the company that operates the service tries to keep it as cheap as possible for the customer, you often encounter fees at merchants or bookmakers and these are not negligible fees. At the three aforementioned bookmakers, the payment using Paysafecard is subject to a 5% fee at Tipsport and Chance, and at Betano the payment is free.
One of the significant limits that plague this payment method is definitely the relatively low maximum limit to which a prepaid card can be topped up, which is 2,500 crowns. The limit for a one-time payment using Paysafecard is then €48.
The limit of €48 for a one-time transaction can however be increased when setting up a myPaysafe account. The company further distinguishes two levels of this account, which are Standard and Unlimited. For these accounts, the maximum limit of transactions per month is specified, where for the Standard account it is 6,000 CZK and for the Unlimited account it is 720,000 CZK.
You can easily check the balance on your Paysafecard on the official Paysafecard websites, where the Paysafecard Balance Display service is available. Just enter your code and you will immediately see your balance.
