General information about Tipsport

The history of the company dates back to May 1991, when the first physical branch of the bookmaker was opened in Beroun. Today, Tipsport is an international holding with three thousand employees. It is a market leader in sports betting and online entertainment in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Besides its own brand, it operates the bookmaker Chance and the lottery company Loterie Korunka s. r. o. is also part of the holding. One of Tipsport’s most significant milestones was the launch of online betting in 2009. Live betting was also launched immediately with it. The phenomenon of online betting has significantly increased the company’s turnover, which has grown exponentially every year. Other pillars of today’s success were gradually built. In September 2011, Tipsport TV was launched, which today offers one of the widest ranges of sports broadcasts in the world. A year later, the Analysis and Ticket Arena project supplemented the existing Forum, which resulted in further exponential growth of the betting community. The company has long since moved beyond just sports betting and gambling. In 2017, the Tipsport Foundation was established, which today ranks among the 15 largest corporate foundations in the Czech Republic. It engages in supporting projects focused on environmental protection, sports, and cultural heritage support, and helps with the lives of its own employees. 3) Payout level

The payout level (or also payout) represents the percentage expression of the return of the bettor’s invested amount. The closer to 100%, the better for the bettor. The difference between 100% and the actual payout is the margin that the bookmaker charges on that market. The payout, and thus the margin, will be completely different on various markets, thus depending on the sport, competition, opportunity, and prematch/live.
